Support Groups

Parents with children with special medical needs often feel isolated and alone. ITK offers monthly support groups for parents of children with special medical needs so they can have ongoing care, connection and support.

Support groups provide participants with the following benefits:

Coping strategies
Hope, emotional comfort and moral support
A network that minimizes feelings of loneliness, isolation or being judged
A sense of empowerment or control
Reductions in distress, depression and anxiety
A place to talk openly and honestly about feelings
Practical advice about treatment options and community resources

ITK support groups are facilitated by professional counselors and coaches who have experience working with our special population.
