Woods has always been inspired by the arts, modes for self discovery, creative approaches to healing, and radical accessibility, so it only took one day for Woods to notice her profound feeling of alignment at Integrative Touch (InTouch), and discover her deep appreciation for InTouch’s trailblazing approach to community support. First as a volunteer in the Healing Center, followed by lead staff Facilitator, and now its Healing Center Kids & Volunteer Coordinator. Woods aims to be another warm and nurturing contributor to the organization’s mission and values, by curating spaces and opportunities for radical belonging, grounded healing, and expansive expression.
Woods received her Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive Psychology, with a minor in Education and Dance, from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. With her minor she earned a grant that enabled her to head off to Santa Fe and delve into somatic bodywork and dance therapy practices including: Nia Dance, an accessibility-centered dance therapy practice, and a movement meditation practice called 5Rhythms.
Team Fun Facts: Alongside her involvement with additional Tucson communities in queer kickball, photography, acting, dancing, hiking, sewing, art market selling, and activism, Woods is thrilled to have become part of the Integrative Touch team.
